March Madness

During its span of 136 years, the Royal - Thomian has witnessed great batsmen who brought memories with the willow in hand. Scoring a ton at a Royal – Thomian is certainly the ultimate dream of a batsman. Out of the many individuals, only a handful have been able to accomplish this on the grandest stage. 

I pen these words on a cold winter’s night in  Amsterdam with a tinge of sadness that I will not be able to make it to the Royal Thomian big match this year. However, let me thank ‘ThePapare’ for giving me this opportunity to contribute this article which will allow me to rekindle the ‘Royal Thomian spirit’ inspite of being far away from home .

The Royal – Thomian, a tradition worth 136 years has earned a special place in certain families. Since its inception in 1879, it has been a tradition for certain families to take part in the event while passing the pride to the next generation. For these families, the ‘Royal – Thomian’ was a household name.

Among 365 boring days of studies there are some school days, which are remembered for a long period. The big match season is also such an enjoyable period. I was a huge cricket fan ever since I was a little boy.
