UOC Alumni Cricket Club emerged champions of Colombo District Division 3 Tournament 2023/24 as they beat Piliyandala Vision Cricket Club by 24 runs in the final played today (25th January) at NCC Grounds, Colombo.
After being put into bat first, UOC Alumni batters managed to post 201 runs on the board courtesy of excellent knocks from Daniel Ashan (53*) and Pujitha Uduwana (49).

Devaka Dabare was the standout performer with the ball for Piliyandala Vision CC as he bagged 5 wickets for 43 runs.
In reply, Piliyandala Vision’s batting lineup was restricted to 177 runs, handing a 24-run win for the opposition. Eshan Gethanjana, who made 65 runs off 125 balls with 8 fours, was the top scorer for Piliyandala Vision CC.
Vasanthan Jathushan was the chief architect with the ball for victorious UOC Alumni CC as he scalped 4 wickets for 29 runs. Tharana Ravindu also chipped in with claiming 2 wickets for 5 runs.
