Six more matches of the SLC Major Club T20 Tournament 2026 were worked off today (28th August) at several venues across the island, with Moors Sports Club, Burgher Recreation Club, Tamil Union Cricket & Athletic Club, Colts Cricket Club, Sinhalese Sports Club and Bloomfield Cricket & Athletic Club registering victories in their respective encounters.

One of the biggest clashes of the tournament saw SSC overcome NCC by five wickets at Colts Grounds, Colombo, with national-capped batters Avishka Fernando and Kamil Mishara producing standout performances.

Mishara led the charge with a blistering 50 off just 30 balls, including five fours and three sixes for NCC. Fernando played a match-winning knock of 73 off 41 balls with five fours and five sixes to power SSC to victory.

There were several outstanding individual performances in the encounter between Bloomfield C & AC and Ace Capital CC. Janith Liyanage and Shanikya Deshapriya starred with brilliant half-centuries for Bloomfield, while Dulaj Samuditha produced an excellent bowling performance, claiming a four-wicket haul to help his side secure victory. Pawan Pathiraja fought hard with a half-century for Ace Capital, but his efforts went in vain.

Colts CC produced a dominant performance against Badureliya SC, with Muditha Lakshan and Hiran Jayasundara leading the way with the bat. Lakshan smashed a sensational 56 off just 18 balls, including five fours and four sixes, while Jayasundara contributed a well-made 71 off 55 balls, hitting nine fours.

Moors SC also recorded a comfortable victory over Police SC, with Sohan de Livera and Janishka Perera making valuable contributions with the bat. Both batters struck impressive half-centuries to guide Moors SC to a convincing win.
