Jaffna Central, S. Thomas’ College Bandarawela, Gamini Bentota, St. Mary’s Matugama, Methodist High School, Ibbagamuwa Central, Loyola and Rajasinghe Central qualified to the Quarter-Finals of U19 Division 3 – Tier A Limited Over Tournament.

Jaffna Central College registered a thumping win over De La Salle College Colombo, defeating them by 131 runs in the pre-quarter-final which was worked off at Jaffna. The pre-quarter-final between S. Thomas’ College Bandarawela and Wayamba Royal College Kurunegala ended in a thrilling finish as the former recorded a 1-run victory.

St. Mary’s College Matugama and Methodist High School Moratuwa registered comprehensive wins over C.W.W. Kannangara Central College and Hindu College Kokuvil respectively in the pre-quarter-finals.

The winner of the pre-quarter-final between Gamini NS Bentota and St. Aloysius College Ratnapura was decided on the result of toss of the coin according the tournament conditions, as rain interrupted the match.

Meanwhile, Loyola College Negombo, Ibbagamuwa Central College and Rajasinghe Central College Hanwella secured their places in the quarter finals as they beat Badulla Central College, Mahinda Rajapaksha National School Homagama and St. Joseph’s College Wattala respectively in the pre-quarter-finals.
