The first unofficial Youth Test between Sri Lanka Emerging Team and Bangladesh Emerging Team continued for day three today (27 th October) at Dambulla.
Sri Lanka showcased a strong fightback with the bat in reply to the visiting Bangladesh’s mammoth first innings score of 501 runs.

The opening batter Navod Paranavithana and Skipper Sonal Dinusha led the way with brilliant centuries as the hosts posted 298/7 at the close of play on Day 3.
Paranavithana was the chief scorer for Sri Lanka as he amassed 136 runs off 188 balls with 18 fours to his name. Dinusha played a captain’s knock, scoring 106 runs off 172 balls with 9 fours and a six.
The duo added a massive 223-run stand for the 3rd wicket, bailing Sri Lanka out of trouble in their first innings reply with the bat.

The match will continue for the fourth and final day tomorrow, with the hosts trailing by 203 runs with 3 wickets in hand.
