The first unofficial Youth Test between the Sri Lanka Emerging Team and Bangladesh Emerging Team commenced today (25 th October) at Dambulla.

Bangladesh Emerging Team skipper Mahmudul Hasan Joy won the toss and opted to bat first. Prantik Nawrose Nabil and Aich Mollah opened the batting for the visitors and the duo added a 76-run stand for the first wicket before off-spinner Kalhara Senaratne dismissed the former for 41 runs.
Mollah was joined by skipper Mahmudul Hasan in the middle. They continued to pile on the runs, building an unbeaten 91-run partnership for the 2nd wicket before rain interrupted the proceedings and washout the rest of the play for the day.

Bangladesh’s top scorer Mollah, remained unbeaten on 74 runs, while off-spinner Senarathne was the pick of the bowlers for the hosts with figures of 1 for 30 runs.
