The traditional fixture between St. Joseph’s College and S. Thomas’ College ended in a draw today at St. Joseph’s College grounds with the hosts claiming first innings points. After being 64 for 3 overnight, Thomians declared their first innings at 181 runs for 9 wickets. Off spinner Ashain Daniel and left arm spinner Shalinda Seneviratne picked up 3 wickets each for the hosts.

With a 85-run lead, Joes began their second innings but poor batting display restricted them to 112 runs setting a target of 198 runs for the visitors. The run chase was not on as Thomians had only 5 overs to bat as umpires called stumps on day two.
