The rain god had no mood for cricket as just one game out of the six scheduled were worked off today (29th May).

Panadura SC played Nugegoda SWC in a rain-shortened encounter that saw only 11 overs per side.

Panadura batters, led by Lakshan Rodrigo, made 90 runs for the loss of 8 wickets whereas Rodrigo made 29 off 20. His innings saw 3 fours and a six.

Left-arm spinner, Sahan Nanayakkara was the pick of the bowling for Nugegoda SWC as he bagged 2 wickets for just 11 runs in his 2 overs.

Nanayakkara was well supported by the speedster, Chaminda Bandara, who also picked up 2 wickets giving away 20 runs in 3 overs.

It was a rather shaky start for the Nugegoda SWC as they lost their top 4 for just 30 runs.

Roshan Wijenayake of Panadura SC topped the wickets column for the day with 3 wickets to his name.

The Panadura batters could not find their way back into the game after that early breakthrough as they ended 25 runs behind the target.
