Eight more matches of SLC Major Club T20 Tournament 2020/21 were worked off today at different venues in Colombo. Asela Gunaratne and Lasith Abeyratne continued their good form with the bat scoring back-to-back half-centuries.  

SSC, NCC, Lankan CC and Police SC managed to register comprehensive victories in their respective encounters worked off today. The opening batsman Nipun Dananjaya who made an unbeaten 80 runs off 56 balls with 2 fours and 5 sixes was the star with the bat for SSC’s win.

The leg spinner Geeth Kumara had a great outing with the ball today as he managed to grab 4 scalps for 13 runs guiding his team the Lankan CC to a 7-wicket win over Ace Capital CC. 

In the other encounters, Army CC, Kandy Customs SC, CCC and Panadura SC recorded victories. National Capped Asela Gunaratne and CCC opening batsman Lasith Abeyratne continue their good form with the bat scoring back-to-back half-centuries today. 

Gunaratne made 57 runs off 42 balls with 7 fours and a six while Abeyratne scored a patient knock 52 runs off 52 with 5 fours and a six for CCC. Along with Abeyratne, experienced champion Lahiru Gamage pioneered in CCC’s win picking up 4 scaps for just 13 runs against Badureliya CC.
