Quarter-Finalists confirmed for U19 Division 2 Two-Day Tournament

The group stage of the SLSCA Under 19 Division 2 Inter-Schools Two Day Tournament concluded, with 16 teams qualifying for the knock-out stage (8 teams each from Tier A & Tier B).

Eight school teams namely Sri Sumangala College, Panadura, St. Sebastian’s College, Katuneriya, Vidyartha College, Kandy, Piliyandala Central College, Sri Devananda College, Ambalangoda, St. John’s College, Jaffna, Holy Cross College, Kalutara and Kalutara Vidyalaya have advanced to the quarter finals of  U19 Division 2 Tier ‘A’ Inter-Schools Two-Day Tournament based on their performances in the group stage.

The champion and runner up teams in this segment will be promoted to Division 1 Tier ‘B’ for next year.

Meanwhile, another eight school have secured their places in quarter finals of U19 Division 2 Tier ‘B’ Inter-Schools Two-Day Tournament. Bandaranayake College, Gampaha, Henegama Central College, Taxila Central College, Horana, President’s College, Kotte, Royal College, Panadura, Christ King College, Ja Ela, St. Thomas College, Matale and CMS Sri Jayawardenapura MV, Kotte (BT2) who exceled in the group stage sealed their spots in knockout stage.

The champion and runner up teams in this segment will be promoted to Division 2 Tier ‘A’ for next year.
