Kamindu & Dhananjaya stroke tons to kick off second week’s NSL games

The second week’s matches of the National Super League 4-Day Tournament 2024 got underway today (25th January), at Pallekele and Hambantota.

The Skipper Kamindu Mendis’ brilliant century helped Team Dambulla post a commanding total – 287/3 on the board on Day 1 of their encounter against Team Colombo at Pallekele International Cricket Stadium.

Mendis top scored for Dambulla with a knock of 115 runs off 164 balls with 15 fours, while Leo Fransisco made a vital half-century (87) at the top of the order.

Team Jaffna managed to post a solid total on the board on Day 1 of their encounter against Team Kandy, at Mahinda Rajapaksa International Cricket Stadium in Hambantota.

Dhananjaya de Silva was the star performer with the bat for Jaffna as he made a fine century in the middle order, taking his team to 309/7 at the close of play. Janith Liyanage and Lahiru Madushanka also contributed with crucial half-centuries.
