Team Colombo and Team Kandy were in a strong position at the end of the second day’s play in their encounters of National Super League 4-Day Tournament against Team Jaffna and Team Galle respectively.  

Team Colombo were in a dominant position against Team Jaffna at the end of the second play’s play in their encounter which was played today at SSC Grounds, Colombo.   

24-year old Nuwanidu Fernando brought up his 9th first-class century today, helping Team Colombo post a commanding total – 348 for their first innings. The seaming all-rounder Lahiru Madushanka was the pick of the bowlers for Team Jaffna as he grabbed 3 wickets for 39 runs.

In reply, Team Jaffna posted 81 runs for 1 wicket at stumps on Day 2. The Skipper Nishan Madushka remained unbeaten after scoring a brilliant half-century.  

Team Kandy managed to take the upper hand against Team Galle on Day 2 at Mahinda Rajapaksa International Cricket Stadium in Hambantota.  

After being at 339 runs for 6 wickets at stumps on Day 1, Team Kandy were bowled out for 365 runs in the first session on the second day. The speedster Udith Madushan was the star performer with the ball for Team Galle as he picked up his maiden 5-fer in his first-class Cricket career.   

In reply, Team Galle got off to a shaky start as they lost 3 quick wickets for 39 runs at the close of play on Day 2.
