Sri Lanka Women U19 capped off a dominant campaign in the T20 Tri-Series in Australia with a thrilling victory over Australia Women U19, completing a clean sweep of the tournament.

Having won the toss, Sri Lanka elected to bat first but were tested by a disciplined Australian bowling attack. They managed to post a modest total of 99 runs, with Limansa Thilakarathne leading the way with a composed knock of 35. Ira Aery was the standout performer with the ball for Australia, picking up 3 wickets for 19 runs to keep Sri Lanka in check.

In response, Sri Lanka’s bowlers rose to the occasion with a superb collective effort to defend the low total. Australia were bowled out for 96, falling agonizingly short by just 3 runs in a tense finish.

Left-arm spinner Chamodi Praboda played a crucial role, claiming 3 wickets for 22 runs, while Shashini Gimhani, Limansa Thilakarathne, and Aseni Thalagune provided excellent support, picking up 2 wickets each to seal a memorable win.
