The ITF Asian 12 & Under Team competition 2017 will see its final venture take place with 12 nations facing off at the National Tennis Centre in Kazakhstan. The tournament is organised and hosted by the Kazakhstan Tennis Federation and is sanctioned by the ITF as well as the ATF.

A total of 12 teams each in the boys’ and girls’ events will battle it out for the ultimate title starting on the 6th with the finals taking place on the 11th of November. Unfortunately the Sri Lankan boys team did not qualify for the final stage after losing out to Qatar, Lebanon, Nepal and Bangladesh in the Regional Qualifying round earlier this year in Satdobado, Latipur.

However, the Sri Lankan girls’ team booked a spot in the top two after defeating Nepal in the semi-finals and earned their entry into the finals.
