Richmond College vs St. Anthony’s College
St. Anthony’s College won the toss and opted to bowl first against Richmond College in the 3rd Quarter-Final of SLSCA U19 Division 1 – Tier A Cricket Tournament 2021/2022 played today at Maggona.
The strong Richmond batting lineup didn’t impress with the bat as they posted a modest total of 198 runs in 48.3 overs. Vishara Fernando (58) and Themindu Pradeeptha (52) stroked half-tons for the Southern boys.

Sri Lanka U19 capped Trevin Mathew starred with the ball for Antonians picking up 4 scalps for 32 runs. However, Richmond bowlers showcased an even better performance with the ball as they restricted Antonians for 134/9, claiming the victory by 37 runs as per the D/L method.
Sharon Abhishek was the star with the ball for Richmondites as he snared 4 wickets for 23 runs.

Maris Stella College won the toss and opted to bat first against Moratu Vidyalaya in the 3rd Quarter-Final of SLSCA U19 Division 1 – Tier B Cricket Tournament 2021/2022 played today at D.S. Senanayake Grounds.
Maris Stella College managed to post 230 runs in the allotted 50 overs thanks to the contributions made with the bat by Mahindu Malith (42*), Kawitha Dinalya (36) & Hansaja Hiruna (34). Malith Rupasinghe was the pick of the bowlers for Moralians as he bagged 3 scalps for 51 runs.
The disciplined bowling effort spearheaded by Shane Adithya (4/19) & Mahindu Malith (3/14) restricted Moratuwa boys to 123 as Maris Stella College secured their place in the Semi-Finals.

Isipathana College won the toss and opted to bat first against St. Sylvester’s College in the 2nd Quarter-Final of SLSCA U19 Division 1 – Tier B Cricket Tournament 2021/2022 played today at Darley Road.
Kavindu Amantha stroked a 50-ball 52 runs as Isipathana College posted 210/9 in the allotted 50 overs. Akila Wickramasinghe and Maleesha Silva shared 5 wickets between them for St. Sylvester’s College.

Though 211 didn’t look a threatening target on paper, Isipathana managed to utilize their bowling resources well to restrict the opposition to 164 runs. The off-spinner Kavindu Amantha who picked up 6 wickets for 38 runs was the chief destroyer with the ball for Isipathana College.
