Three matches in the U19 Division 1 Schools Limited Overs Cricket Tournament was played today (06th October) at Colombo and Galle.

Vihas Thewmika’s all-round brilliance headlines Thurstan College’s 5-wicket win over Lumbini College in their Tier B encounter worked off today at Colts Grounds in Colombo. Thewmika picked up 3 wickets with the ball while scoring a match-defining 31 runs with the bat for Thurstan College.

Yenula Dewthusa, Lahiru Amarasekara and Hiran Jayasundara’s excellent performances with bat and bowl helped St. Joseph’s College registered a 4-wicket win over Nalanda College in their Tier A encounter played today at Nalanda College Grounds in Colombo.

Mahinda College recorded a thumping 8-wicket win over Zahira College in the Tier B encounter between the sides played today at Mahinda College Grounds in Galle. Dinura Kalupahana’s match-winning half-century and Dhanuja Induwara’s all-round show were the highlights of Mahinda College’s dominant win.
