Three traditional encounters of the 2019/20 U19 cricket season were worked off today, 16th February 2020, at several different venues.

The traditional encounter between Dharmaraja College and Ananda College ended with the home team taking major honors. The hosts Dharmaraja College restricted the visitors for 200. This was possible due to the vice-captain Upendra Warnakulasooriya’s third consecutive 7-wicket haul. Dharmaraja College then scored 176 for the second innings losing 6 wickets as their highest scorer in the first innings, Chethiya Ekanayake top-scored once again with an unbeaten 44.

Prince of Wales College hosted Isipathana College in another traditional encounter and invited the visitors to take first lease of the wicket after winning the toss. The Pathanians however, ended the day frustrating the homeboys batting for 102 overs scoring just 228.
