St. Joseph’s College, Colombo qualified for the final of U19 Division 1 Tier A Inter-Schools Limited Overs Tournament 2023/24 as they beat De Mazenod College, Kandana by 4 wickets in the Semi-Final encounter worked off today (18th November) at Maggona.
St. Joseph’s College skipper Lahiru Amarasekara won the toss and asked De Mazenod College to bat first. The decision turned out to be gold as they managed to restrict the boys from Kandana for just 128 runs.
Lahiru Amarasekara bowled a brilliant spell to return with figures of 3 for 22 for St. Joseph’s College. Dunick Perera, Demion De Silva and Yenula Dewtusa also impressed with the ball picking up 2 wickets each.

St. Joseph’s College chased down the target of 129 runs in the 34th over with 4 wickets in hand. Maanasa Madubashana top scored for the victorious St. Joseph’s College with fighting 31 runs while Kavindu Kaushalya starred with the ball, picking up 4 wickets for De Mazenod College.
