Tamil Union vs SLPA CC 

SLPA gained a 113 run first innings lead but Tamil Union batted themselves to a strong position at 257/4 when stumps were drawn on day two.

Gihan Rupasinghe top scored with 89 for SLPA in their total of 233, while Dinuk Wickramanayake captured 6 wickets for Tamil Union.

BRC vs Badureliya

A thrilling opening day left the game in the balance between BRC and Badureliya SC. 

BRC were first shot out for 128 with Alankara Asanka capturing another five wicket haul, before they hit back to reduce Badureliya to 123/9 at close.

It was a spinners paradise as left arm spinner Chamikara Edirisinghe was the chief destroyer picking up five wickets for BRC.

NCC vs Army

Army SC put in a dominant performance with the bat to secure first innings points and end day two in a strong position.

Army replied with 369 all-out after NCC made 224 in their first innings. Dilshan De Soyza, Janaka Sampath, Lakshitha Madushan all made half centuries for the soldiers.

Lahiru Thirimanne made a statement with a marathon knock to help his side Ragama CC secure a 72 run first innings lead.

He hit 166* not out while former Peterite Shehan Fernando made an explosive 79.

Saracens SC ended the opening day in a strong position on the back of a solid knock of 84* by Pramod Maduwantha.
