The National Cricket Selection Committee has announced a 15-member Sri Lanka squad for the upcoming three-match T20I series against Pakistan, with young left-handed opener Sineth Jayawardene earning his maiden call-up to the national T20I side.
Jayawardene has been making headlines in domestic cricket with a series of aggressive and impressive batting performances, earning his opportunity at the international level.
Experienced off-spinning all-rounder Sahan Arachchige has also received his maiden call-up to the Sri Lanka T20I squad. Arachchige, who has been leading Sri Lanka at the 2026 Asian Games, adds further all-round options to the squad.

Meanwhile, wrist-spinner Vijayakanth Viyaskanth and seam-bowling all-rounder Chamindu Wickramasinghe have returned to the T20I setup after being away from the side for some time.
Several players who featured in Sri Lanka’s recent T20I series against England have been left out of the squad. Pathum Nissanka, Charith Asalanka, Janith Liyanage and Tharindu Rathnayake have not been included, while Wanindu Hasaranga misses out due to injury.
Sri Lanka’s Men’s National T20I squad will depart for Pakistan on 4th October, with the three-match series scheduled to be played in Rawalpindi on 9th, 11th and 13th October.
