The game tipped off with both schools trading off shots at both ends. The Peterites, got the better of Royal College (RC) in the early exchanges as they slowly drifted into the lead. However, RC found their mojo mid-way through the first quarter, fighting back strongly.

St. Peter’s Colleges’ (SPC) performance was marred by unforced errors, loose passes and travelling violations. They were guilty of missing rebounds and simple scoring opportunities. These errors helped the home team lead the game by double figures (11) going into half-time.

SPC switched their approach into the game, playing more of an open style of basketball, coming into the second half. It certainly helped to close the gap but the early leakage of points, still helped the home team to stay well ahead of the game.

RC played a well-coordinated defensive game and managed to retain the double figure (10) lead at the third quarter.

SPC tightened the screws in defense, applying a full-court press but it was too late in the game to bounce back. Missing rebounds in the offense and the defense, played a huge role in SPC`s downfall.

As the final buzzer sounded, Royal College marched on to be crowned champions of the U15 “A” Division Category for 2018.
