  Women’s Tri-Nation ODI Series 2025 

India registered a 23-run win over South Africa in the fifth match of Women’s Tri-Nation ODI Series 2025 played today (7th May) at R. Premadasa International Cricket Stadium. With this win, India managed to qualify for the final of the tournament.

After been put into bat first, India posted a mammoth score of 337/9 in the allotted 50 overs with the middle-order batter Jemimah Rodrigues top scoring with a brilliant knock of 123 runs.

Deepti Sharma and Smriti Mandhana also contributed with valuable knocks of 93 and 51 runs respectively. Rodrigues and Sharma built a 122-run partnership for the fifth wicket.  

In reply, South Africa also put on an impressive batting display, but fell short of the target by 23 runs. Annerie Dercksen (81) and Chloe Tryon (67) tried their best with fighting half-centuries.  

Amanjot Kaur and Deepti Sharma were the pick of the bowlers for India as they shared 5 wickets between them.

India will meet Sri Lanka in the final of the series which will be played on the 11th May at R. Premadasa International Cricket Stadium.
