SLSRFA Court Case Will Have No Implications on the Schools League

There has been quite a stir within the schools rugby segment recently due to a court case filed against two SLSRFA officials which has led to an injunction order preventing the individuals from handling affairs in terms of the upcoming schools rugby league.

This has led to a few confusing stories as to the implications on the league and the functioning of the SLSRFA.

Speaking to reliable sources, ThePapare.Com has learnt that the court has clarified the fact that the league will go on as scheduled at a hearing today. This clarification was also accepted by the party that has put forward the case. The tournament will be carried out by the rest of the members of the SLSRFA excluding the two officials.

However, due to a technical error, the verdict on the injunction order by the court restraining the Secretary and the Treasurer of the SLSRFA, is yet to be discussed as two individuals have appealed against the ruling as there is supposed to be a lack of proper protocol in terms of the case put forward by the party in concern.

There will be another hearing on the 15th of March 2012 (Friday), which will most probably decide the fate of the case.

The Schools Rugby League Division 1A will kick off as scheduled on the March 15.
