Two group stage matches from Tier A and Tier B of the SLC Major League tournament were held today at Colombo and Maggona. The day belonged to Badureliya wicket-keeper Lahiru Milantha who scored a 252 off 314 balls registering this season’s 3rd double ton.

25-year old Lahiru Milantha scored his highest score in first-class cricket today, 5th February 2020, as Badureliya Cricket Club earned the first-innings victory over Lankans CC. Milantha smacked a blistering 252 guiding his club to 648 as they were chasing Lankans 1st innings total of 429.
Milantha was well-supported by Pakistani batsman Shahid Yousuf who stroked a century of his own before being dismissed for 124. Earlier in the match, Risith Upamal stroked a century as Lankans CC set the first innings score of 429.
The match was concluded as a drawn contest but more bonus points were won by Badureliya CC.

Former Anandian Asel Sigera was the chief destroyer of Kaluthara TC innings as he picked up 4 wickets, while the left-arm seamer from Trincomalee, Mohommed Faheem chipped in with 3 wickets.
Madushanka Zoysa for Police SC was unbeaten on 46 at stumps.
