Moragasmulla SC defeated Maroons SC 3-1 in the 5th round and booked a place in the semi-finals of Group A.
Moragasmulla, the division I team met fellow division I participants Maroons SC – last year’s Division II champs, in 5th round after having a relatively easy rounds. In round 2 Moragasmulla defeated Vystwike Park SC 3-0.
Moragasmulla’s real test came in the 3rd round where they met at home another one of Division I teams, Cooray SC. It was a thrilling battle as fortunes swung and at full time the scores read 3-3. In the penalty shootout Moragasmulla missed only one to win 4-3 on penalties. In the 4th round Moragasmulla had an easy 4-0 win at home.
