Isipathana College defeated Thurstan College 3-2 on penalties after it ended 0-0 at full time to win the inaugural W.A. Rohana Challenge Trophy at the Racecourse Stadium.
Both teams took time to settle into the game and when they did it was Isipathana who took control. They attacked from the left but lacked in the execution department. The Havelock town boys had numerous corners and free kicks wasted. However, just before half time Thurstan had a good opportunity with just the goalkeeper to beat but could only shoot straight at Aakif Suhail.
