Galle Marvels has swiftly become a powerhouse in Sri Lankan franchise cricket.

Representing the historic city of Galle and owned by Cricket Marvels LLC, USA, the team is dedicated to creating a cricket legacy that  combines local talent  with  international  standards.

After achieving the runner-up position in the LPL 2024, Galle Marvels are now set to compete in the upcoming Lanka T10 Super League, making them the first franchise team in Sri Lanka to participate in both franchise leagues hosted in the country.

The inaugural Lanka T10 Super League 2024 will take place from December 12 to 22 at the Pallekelle International Cricket Stadium.

Bhanuka Rajapaksa, Maheesh Theekshana, and Chamindu Wickramasinghe, all key players in Sri Lanka’s National T20I squad, have joined Galle Marvels as local pre-draft picks. Additionally, Bangladesh star all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan and T10 specialists Alex Hales (England) and Andre Fletcher (West Indies) have been signed as overseas pre-draft selections.

Galle Marvels owner, Mr. Prem Thakkar, arrived on November 9th ahead of the Players’ Draft, set for November 10th, and shared his enthusiasm at a press briefing: “Our Pre-Draft picks are world- class players, and we look forward to completing our team during the draft to expand the Galle Marvels family in the upcoming Lanka T10 Super League 2024.”

As part of their community outreach, the Galle Marvels management also distributed signed LPL 2024 memorabilia, including bats and balls, to young cricketers, inspiring the next generation of players.
