After the disappointing loss to Air Force the week before Navy upped their tremendously with Imesh Fernando keeping the high scoring Renown SC to just one and making a couple of point blank range saves,

In a must win match to keep hopes alive in the champions league Fahim was at the heart of the Java Lane defence that kept the dangerous Air Force attackers at bay. With some no-nonsense defending and calm on the ball, he led Java Lane to their first clean sheet of the season.

Though Crystal Palace scored twice, one from a free-kick and the other with the goalkeeper out of position, Warakagoda had a solid game and found the winner with just 5 minutes to go.

Saunders secured a clean sheet with Dumidu having a major part in it. Hard defending along with good communication with his defensive partners earned the visiting Saunders SC a comfortable afternoon.

Back to back appearances for Madushan who had an exceptional game leading from the front, who had another stellar game with a goal and two assist, and ideally should have added another, with his header from close range going just over.

Two goals against the defending champions Colombo FC, Gnanaruban had an excellent game running the show from midfield.

Frank’s goal will go down in history as the goal that ended Blue Star’s two year unbeaten streak at home in Kalutara. Apart from the goal he was everywhere, especially in defense as Blue Star pilled on the pressure in search of an equalizer.

Abdullah was a constant threat down the right and set up the opening goal for Java Lane before scoring a penalty to seal all 3 points for his team.

Mumuni continued his late season form with a hat-trick in the 8-0 drubbing of Up Country Lions.

The foreign forward scored a brace at home for New Youngs as they beat Thihariya Youth to secure their Super 8 spot.
