Anula Vidyalaya, Nugegoda produced a commanding all-round performance to defeat Gothami Balika Vidyalaya, Colombo and clinch the 1st Queens’ Clash played today (31st October) at the SSC Grounds, Colombo.
After winning the toss, Anula skipper Dahami Sanethma elected to bat first — a decision that paid off handsomely. Openers Yenuli Sathnadee and Tanushi Randila gave their team a dream start, putting together a solid 120-run partnership for the first wicket. Sathnadee led the way with a fluent 79 off 79 balls, setting the platform for a big total.

Captain Sanethma continued the momentum with a classy unbeaten 81 off 93 deliveries, steering her side to a formidable 262 for 3 in their 50 overs.
In reply, Gothami Balika Vidyalaya struggled to find their footing against Anula’s disciplined bowling attack and were dismissed for just 112 runs. The star of the bowling effort was Yesali Jithara, who impressed with figures of 4 for 27, ensuring a resounding 150-run victory for Anula Vidyalaya.
