The 10th Battle of the Blues Cricket and Rugby encounters between the Old Royalists and Old Thomians in Qatar, will be held on the 04th (Friday) May 2018 at the MIC Sports Complex Cricket grounds in Qatar.
This year the Battle of the Blues Qatar will be a day and night event, which will start at 1.30 pm and go on until 9.30 pm. This year’s encounter is special as this is the 10th Anniversary of the event in Qatar. It will be a fun filled day as the Old boys and their families turn up to participate in the event.
The match line up will feature the Veterans (10 overs) Cricket Match, Ladies’ (5 overs) Cricket Match, 1st XI (15 overs) Big Match and Touch Rugby 7’s Match.
Previous editions featured several prominent past cricketers of both schools namely Dharshan Bodiyabaduge, Dammika Bulankulame, Suresh Bulankulame and Dilshan Gunawardena from S. Thomas’ College and Suranga Lokubalasooriya, Tharaka Kottahewa and Imal Liyanage from Royal College.
