This move comes after Kandy Sports Club, who communicated that they will be also not be playing the second leg after their 1st leg triumph.

Havelock Sports Club, the runners-up from last year had a rather early exit from the Inter-Club 7’s this year with the team losing out to Police SC in the cup quarterfinals. This was an early exit for the Park Club and the team was later defeated by the Navy ‘A’ side in the Plate semifinals.

Speaking to ThePapare, the Havelock SC management added that they will not be taking part in the second leg.

“Our players have sustained injuries and we will not be taking part in the second leg because we don’t want our players to risk further getting injured”
