The final-four action will commence on April 22nd, Sunday when two top notch teams, Mahinda College, Galle and St. Peter’s College, Bambalapitiya will battle for a place in the final at S. Thomas’ College, Mount Lavinia.

The defending champions, Richmond College will take on the high-riding S. Thomas’ College outfit in the second semi-final on 24th April at St. Peter’s College grounds.

The road to semi-finals

Mahinda College defeated the arch-rivals in Moratuwa, St. Sebastian’s College and Prince of Wales’ College in the round of 16 and 8 respectively to confirm their place in the final four while St. Peter’s College got through St. Aloysius College Galle and Thurstan College in the pre-quarters and quarters respectively.

The Richmondites got the better of Mahanama College by 9 wickets early in the tournament and then defeated Trinity College in the quarter-finals while the Thomians skippered by Dellon Pieris registered a massive 195-run win over DS Senanayake College in the pre-quarter finals before beating Gurukula College, Kelaniya in the final eight.

All four teams are well-balanced with plenty of aggressive batsmen in the top order and some quality bowlers hence both the semi-finals will be very interesting and predicting winners is a difficult task.
