Ananda College surprised Royal College edging them out by two points to secure the Boys’ Overall Championships at the National Age Group Swimming Relay Championships concluded at the Sugathadasa National Sports Complex.
Mahamaya College, Kandy cruised through to victory in the Girls’ category taking home the trophy for the twelfth consecutive year since 2002.
Six new National Age Group Relay records and one National record were also established by teams in the 4x50m Medley Relays and 4x50m Freestyle Relays held in this one day event. National Age Group Records were established by Mahamaya College in the Under 14 and 16 Medley and Freestyle Relays, Ananda College in Under 19 Medley and Freestyle Relay, while the Sri Lanka Navy established a National Record in the 4x50m Freestyle Relay for Men.
