He follows in the footsteps of an illustrious sporting family, carrying forward the legacy of his late father, Zubair Deen Doray, the celebrated Wesley College, CR & FC, and Sri Lanka fullback. With his grandfather Kudus and late uncle Farcy Doray also having proudly represented the iconic Red Shirts, Mursheed continues a family tradition deeply rooted in Sri Lankan rugby.
His rise through the ranks began at Wesley College, where he established himself as one of the school’s standout performers and earned junior national honours.
