Singer U19 Division I Cricket Tournament 2019/20

Seven matches in the Singer Schools ‘Under 19 Division 1’ Two Day Cricket Tournament 2019/20 were played today across the island.

St. Sylvester’s College, Kandy vs De Mazenod College, Kandana  

The brilliant bowling effort of Senash Fernando greatly helped De Mazenod College in defeating St. Sylvester’s College in their traditional encounter, which worked off today at De Mazenod College Grounds in Kandana. Fernando picked up a match bag of 9 wickets for 85 runs for the hosts.

Richmond College took the upper hand on day 1 against Dharmasoka College in their traditional encounter, which commenced today at MRICS in Hambantota. Sri Lanka U19 Captain Sandun Mendis guided Richmondites to take a first innings lead, scoring an unbeaten 84 runs with the bat.
