All-rounder Sammu Ashan stared with bat and ball as he guided Ananda College past Trinity College to reach the final of the Under 17 Division 1 limited over tournament 2015.
Winning the toss and batting first at R. Premadasa International Cricket Stadium, Ananda College put up a reasonable score of 200 on board. Right-hander Sammu Ashan top scored with a sensational half century (70) while Dushan Hettige scored 27 for Ananda College. Rashmika was the pick of the bowlers as he bagged 4 for 27.
Chasing a moderate target Trinity College never hit the ground running as they lost wickets at regular intervals of the game.
