Thirimanne and De Silva pass fitness test

Lahiru Thirimanne and Dhananjaya de Silva have managed to complete the 2KM run fitness test successfully today. 

According to the newly adopted test, players are expected to run the 2 Kilometer distance within a time frame of 8 minutes and 35 seconds.

Thirimanne managed to run the 2 Kilometer distance within a time frame of 8 minutes and 21 seconds while de Silva completed the test in 8 minutes and 20 seconds.

Thirimanne, who tested positive for Covid19 earlier this month, could not take the test 2 weeks ago while de Silva did not take part in it as he was under rehabilitation for the injury suffered during the Tour of South Africa.

With both Thirimanne and de Silva being cleared fit to play, they will be available for selection for the Sri Lanka Test squad which will tour West Indies for a 2-match Test series.
