The Colombo Rowing Club (CRC) will be holding the Opening Regatta 2013 on June 7th and 8th.
The CRC has under its membership 12 institutions with over 350 oarsmen and oarswomen of novice, intermediary and senior levels with many of them expected to compete in this year’s regatta. Throughout the year the CRC hosts 7 regattas and is one of the oldest affiliate members of the Amateur Rowing Association of Sri Lanka (ARASL).
During the Opening Regatta the following events will be held at the CRC premises located at the edge of the Beira Lake.

As a one of the most prestigious and active clubs in the country, promoting rowing as a sport as well as a way of improving social interaction and building up fellowship has been the main focus of the CRC since its inception in 1864. The Rowing club will be celebrating the 150th year in the year 2014 and many exciting events are planned apart from the present activity in the club.
