Sri Lanka national selectors have picked a 25-member preliminary squad for the upcoming ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024, Daily FT reported.

The hard-hitting middle order batter Bhanuka Rajapaksa, who last appeared in a T20I for Sri Lanka 15 months ago, has been recalled to the squad. The wicket-keeper batter Niroshan Dickwella, who played his last T20I for Sri Lanka in June, 2021 has also found a place in the squad.

Premadasa International Cricket Stadium.

Since Sri Lanka will not play any international game before the T20 World Cup, the selectors are expected to conduct an intra-squad T20 series from 2nd May at R. Premadasa International Cricket Stadium before selecting the final squad for the mega event.
