Nepal took a 2-4 lead early in the 1st set but Sri Lanka quickly made it 4-4 as both teams traded point for point. Sri Lanka were leading 14-12 before a 3-8 run gave Nepal a significant 17-20 lead. The Lions came close but could not prevent Nepal from winning the 1st set 23-25 in 27 minutes.
As they have done in the tournament, Sri Lanka had a good start to the 2nd set at 4-1. Nepal made it 12-12. Sri Lanka scored 8 of the next 9-points to take a 7-point lead at 20-13. They eventually made it 1 set apiece winning the 2nd set 25-16.
Sri Lanka lead 9-3 in the 3rd set but the Nepalese slowly but surely revived their chances to equalize at 19-19. Both sides never gave an inch but at 24 all, Sri Lanka dug deep to score the next two points to take a 2-1 lead (26-24).

Nepal, in the must win 4th set lead 5-10 at the start. However, Sri Lanka stormed back into contention making it 14-14. They were leading by 2-points (18-16) but Nepal made it 20-20. Undeterred, Sri Lanka went on a 5-1 run to win 25-21.
