Sri Lanka white ball skipper Dasun Shanaka has urged Sri Lankan cricket fans to get vaccinated against Covid-19.
Shanaka made the request via his personal social media accounts, urging fans to get vaccinated with the 1st available vaccine.

Following the recent reports of the 20-29 age group showing reluctancy to get jabbed, Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has also encouraged young Sri Lankan fans to get vaccinated so they can watch upcoming fixtures from the stands.
“We want to encourage our fans to get both the doses (of vaccines) so that we can allow up to 25% capacity for the LPL. Currently, we have a vaccination rate of 54% (both doses) and hopefully if we reach around 70 to 75 percent in the next couple of months, with the guidance of Ministry of Health, we can open up the stands for fans. “ SLC Head of Medical Unit, Professor Arjuna De Silva exclusively told ThePapare.
