SLC’s ICC Membership in danger?

The International Cricket Council at the completion of its Board Meeting on Monday observed SLC’s Membership status would be under the microscope if elections for the sports body aren’t held in six months time.

The Appeal Court in May this year provided Interim Relief to an appeal made by Nishantha Ranatunga to stay the cricket elections.

In a media release the ICC said, “The Board agreed to allow a representative of the Sri Lankan Sports Minister to sit as an observer to the ICC Board and Full Council, but requested that elections for Sri Lanka Cricket are held within six months, failing which SLC’s Membership status would be considered.”
