Bloomfield Cricket & Athletic Club, Burgher Recreation Club, Kurunegala Youth Cricket Club and Moors Sports Club secured their places in the Semi Finals of the SLC U23 Inter-Club 2-Day Tournament 2026 after claiming crucial first innings points in their respective drawn Quarter Final encounters.
Bloomfield C & AC advanced to the last four after earning first innings points against Negombo CC. Their qualification was built on impressive individual performances, with Mineth Premarathne and Shanikya Deshapriya both registering centuries, while Tharinda Nirmal Guruge starred with the ball by claiming a five-wicket haul.

BRC also progressed by securing first innings points in their drawn Quarter Final against Colombo Cricket Club (CCC). Yasiru Rodrigo led the batting effort with a fine century, while Isuru Fernando contributed a valuable half-century. Sithuka Gunawardana produced a match-defining spell with a five-wicket haul to power BRC into the Semi Finals.
Kurunegala YCC booked their place in the last four after claiming first innings points against Chilaw Marians CC. Lakvin Abeysinghe was the standout performer, following up a first-innings half-century with a magnificent century in the second innings. Vathila Udara delivered a sensational performance with the ball, picking up seven wickets to underline Kurunegala YCC’s dominance.

Moors SC completed the Semi Final lineup after securing first innings points in their drawn Quarter Final against SSC. Vishara Fernando, Ravishan De Silva, Omesh Mendis and Hirun Matheesha all contributed crucial half-centuries, while Sandaru Malshan’s five-wicket haul proved instrumental in Moors’ progression to the next stage.
In the first semi-final encounter, Bloomfield C & AC will meet Moors SC at Surrey Grounds while BRC will meet Kurunegala YCC in the second semi-final encounter at CCC Grounds.
