Two matches of the SLC Major Club 50 Over Tournament 2026 were completed today (21st August) at the Thurstan College Grounds in Colombo and De Zoysa Stadium in Moratuwa, with Colombo Cricket Club (CCC) and Nugegoda Sports & Welfare Club registering victories.
Nugegoda Sports & Welfare Club recorded a massive win over Panadura Sports Club at the Thurstan College Grounds, with half-centuries from Sammu Ashan and Rehan Peiris followed by a brilliant five-wicket haul from Sampath Nishshanka powering them to victory.

Ashan top-scored with an impressive 85, while Peiris contributed a valuable 57 as Nugegoda S & WC put together a strong batting performance. Nishshanka then produced a match-winning spell, claiming 5 wickets for 38 runs to dismantle the Panadura SC batting lineup.
Meanwhile, Colombo Cricket Club secured a 43-run victory over Ace Capital Cricket Club in their encounter at De Zoysa Stadium, Moratuwa.

Pavan Rathnayake played a pivotal role with the bat, scoring a half-century to help CCC post a competitive total. Ashian Daniel then made a crucial contribution with the ball, picking up three wickets as CCC successfully defended their total to complete a 43-run win.
