Air Force SC vs SL Ports Authority CC

Air Force lost their remaining 6 wickets within just 33.1 overs on the last day as SL Ports Authority registered a convincing innings and 3 run victory at Welisara today. Airmen were struggling on stumps yesterday with 4 down for just 60 runs. Udayawansha Parakrama and Lahiru Sri Lakmal put up a 53-run stand before Parakrama lost his wicket for 33 runs. Chanaka Komasaru and Chamikara Edirisinghe then took control of the game cleaned up the tail to seal the victory for the visitors. Komasaru bagged a five-for while Chamikara took 3 wickets for 59 runs.

Early on, SLPA won the toss and elected to bowl first. The home side was restricted for just 172 runs and in reply SLPA made a formidable 347 with half centuries from Ranesh Perera and Gayan Maneeshan.

Navy SC vs Kurunegala Youth SC

Madura Madushanka and Captain Sameera Sandamal’s 180 run partnership helped Navy SC bat through the last day against Kurunegala Youth SC at Welagedara Stadium. Kurunegala Youth were 375 for 9 at stumps yesterday with Hashan Prabath unbeaten on 97. Hashan went on to score 109 runs and he remained unbeaten as they were bowled out for 389 runs. In reply, Navy had an early collapse in their top order.

They were 8 for 2 in 3.2 overs but Buddika Hasaranga and Madura Madushanka put up an 89 run stand for the 3rd wicket and got their team away from danger. After the wicket of Hasaranga for 52, Madushanka and Sameera got together to put a mammoth partnership of 180 to save the game for their team. Madushanka top scored with 120 while Sandamal scored an unbeaten 105. At stumps on the final day, Navy SC was 337 for 5 which ended the match in a draw.

Early on, Kurunegala Youth won the toss and opted to bowl first. Navy managed to post 297 with half centuries from Buddika Hasaranga and Kusal Edussuriya. In reply Kurunegala Youth made 389 all out with two centuries from Dhanushka Dharmasiri and Hashan Prabath.
