S.Thomas’ College, Mount Lavinia was crowned All Island U17 Division ‘A’ Champions after they defeated Lyceum International School, Wattala 65-54 in the final.
The match was played at the S.Thomas’ College basketball courts where the hosts led a comfortable 34-25 at half time.
For the winners Yasin Deemantha and Shenuka Kasthuriarachchi scored 18 points each while Shevan Perera scored 16. Nimesh Kulathunga scored 19 and Evangelo Mario added 15 points for Lyceum International School.
Shenuka Kasthuriarachchi was named the ‘Best Defensive Player’ while Nimesh Kulathunga was named as the ‘Best Offensive Player.’ Shevan Perera was adjudged the ‘Most Valuable Player.’
In the Third Place match Royal College defeated St.Joseph’s College 37-33. At half time it was St.Joseph’s College who led 17-15.
