Rajasinghe Central College, Hanwella beat Royal College, Moneragala by 100 runs to win the Inter School Under 15 Division 111 cricket title at the MCA Ground in Colombo yesterday.
Kaveesha Randima and Heshan Randika shared seven wickets between them to restrict Royal College to 104 runs. Earlier in their essay they posted 204 runs with Gihan Harshana (71) and Ayantha Shavinda (63) scoring valuable half centuries.
While Harshana scored (69 balls) 10 fours and two sixes in his 69-ball knock, Shavinda’s 80-ball knock was inclusive of seven fours and two sixes. Harshana’s exploits with the bat earned him the Man of the Match award.
