At Ampara, Moneragala continued their impressive run as their openers Madawa Madusanka (70n.o) and Pasindu Sachintha (70n.o) kept their wickets intact to chase a target of 165 runs with many overs to spare.
While the matches between Gampaha and Colombo North Zone II and Kurunegala and Polonnaruwa ended in no decisions after they were hampered by rain, the encounter between Colombo North Zone – l and Puttalam was abandoned due to rain at Wennappuwa. While Kalutara beat Ratnapura by 211 runs at Kalutara, Kegalle (beat Nuwara Eliya), Matale (beat Anuradhapura), Batticaloa (beat Trinco), Jaffna (beat Vavuniya) and Kilinochchi (beat Mannar) registered victories yesterday.
