Galle earns major honors in drawn NSL game

Team Galle claimed first innings points against Team Dambulla in the drawn encounter of the National Super League 4-Day Tournament 2024, which ended today (4th February) at Mahinda Rajapaksa International Cricket Stadium.

Team Dambulla resumed their second innings today at 86/2 and went onto post 253/7 before rain brought early curtains on the fourth and final day’s play.

Sonal Dinusha and Sanoj Darshika starred with the bat, scoring vital half-centuries for Team Dambulla. At the same time, the spin twins Nishan Peiris and Nimesh Vimukthi once again stood out with the ball for Team Galle, sharing 6 wickets between them.

Peiris picked up 8 wickets in the match, while Vimukthi snared a match bag of 7 wickets for Team Galle.
