Muthuthanthri provided leadership to the side in 2015 where the team ended up third overall in the series.
Muthuthanthtri succeeds his counterpart Danushka Ranjan who provided leadership for the side in last year’s series while the current Havelock SC third-row player will have a tremendous task ahead of himself when the team heads to Hong Kong for the first leg that is scheduled to be held on the 1st and 2nd of September 2017.
Sri Lanka is set to field in mixed side consisting of both experience and new talent and should be a formidable force when they take flight for the first leg.
